The PR and Comms Experience Program (PREP) is an initiative of TalentIntel, PRWF’s international talent mobility platform. PREP connects communications talent from emerging markets with host organisations around the world, creating opportunities for internships, volunteering, and employment pathways.

Through PREP, PRWF works with PR and communications agencies, in-house communications teams, NGOs, development programmes, and other communications-dependent organisations to create meaningful professional experiences for talent at every stage of their career.

Host an Intern or Volunteer Through PREP

PREP is open to a broad range of host organisations.

Who Can Host?

  • PR and Communications Agencies: consultancies and agencies whose core business is public relations, communications, marketing, or related services.

  • Corporate and In-House Communications Teams: banks, manufacturing companies, technology companies, government institutions, and other organisations with an internal communications function.

  • NGOs and Nonprofit Organisations: mission-driven organisations that require communications support for their programmes, campaigns, advocacy, or organisational activities.

  • Development and Social Impact Programmes: public health, education, development, and social impact initiatives that require communications support.

  • Other Organisations: any organisation with legitimate communications need not captured above.

PREP recognises that PR and communications professionals come to the programme at different stages of their careers, and with different goals. Whether you are still studying, have recently graduated, or already have professional experience, PREP provides pathways to gain practical experience and contribute to organisations across borders.

Choose Your PREP Pathway

1. Undergraduate Internship

For students who need practical experience as part of their academic requirement. Placements are flexible and typically run 6–12 weeks, up to three months.

2. Entry-Level Volunteering

For recent graduates beginning their professional journey. Provides practical exposure, workplace skills, a professional portfolio, and a contribution to a real organisation or programme.

3. Professional Volunteering

For experienced professionals who want to contribute their expertise. For professionals at any career stage seeking international exposure or supporting a cause they believe in.

No Placement Fees

There are no financial obligations for host organisations or individual talent across any of the three PREP pathways. Organisations may choose to offer compensation at their discretion.
